Interested in helping out?

Each year volunteers contribute hundreds of hours helping Midland Festival Ballet in many ways. From working backstage during performances to creating costumes or even helping with auditions and administrative tasks, there is an opportunity for you! Our volunteers share their time and talents in a number of ways throughout the year including: 

Productions: 

  • Coordinating dancers at auditions 
  • Coordinating dancers at rehearsals 
  • Distributing posters and marketing materials 
  • Coordinating and/or assisting with costume fittings and alterations 
  • Helping in the dressing rooms backstage during performances 
  • Working on the backstage production crew 
  • Merchandise Coordination 
  • Working at the merchandise boutique during performances 
  • Coordinating and planning the Cast Party

Company:  

  • Coordinate RDA/SW trip details 
  • Chaperoning dancers at RDA/SW Festivals 
  • Coordinate travel for outreach programming 
  • Coordinate meals (when needed) during outreach programming

Costumes: 

  • Costume Coordination 
  • Costume Fittings 
  • Sewing and Repairs 
  • Steaming/Ironing 

Administrative Assistance: 

  • Providing clerical help to the Executive Director 
  • Helping prepare mass mailings 
  • Assisting at sponsor events and presentations
